About Temple

The temple holds a remarkable legend. During ancient times, Lord Dhanvantari, the celestial healer, emerged from the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan) carrying the nectar of immortality. He established a holy well (Koop) near this temple, infusing it with the power of Ayurvedic herbs and healing energy.

Lord Shiva, pleased with this divine act, manifested here in the form of Mrityunjay Mahadev to protect devotees from untimely death (akaal mrityu). Hence, the temple became a sacred center for seekers of longevity, cure, and liberation.
