Translation: "Donation of food is the greatest charity. In Kaliyuga, Annadaan serves as the most powerful remedy for removing all doshas and spiritual obstacles."
Mahalaya Amavasya, also revered as Sarva Pitru Amavasya, marks the most sacred culmination of the 15-day Pitru Paksha period. This holy day represents the ultimate opportunity for devotees to honor their departed ancestors through Pind Daan, Tarpan, and Annadaan.

According to ancient scriptures, Annadaan (food donation) is proclaimed as the highest form of charity—"Annadaanam Param Daanam". When performed on this blessed Amavasya, it ensures eternal peace to Pitru souls while showering abundant blessings of health, prosperity, and spiritual protection upon the entire family lineage.

About Our Maha Annadaan Seva:

On 21st September 2025, Kashi Archan Foundation is organizing a grand community Annadaan Seva at the sacred ghats and temple premises of Kashi (Varanasi). This noble initiative will serve thousands of respected Brahmins, devout Sadhus, and needy devotees with freshly prepared, pure satvik food as a heartfelt tribute to departed ancestors.

By participating in this seva, devotees perform Pitra Tarpan through Annadaan, which sacred texts describe as spiritually equivalent to performing ten Ashwamedha Yagyas in terms of accumulated punya (divine merit).
