Lalita Ghat is one of the most famous ghats in Varanasi that is located a the long stretch from Raj Rajeshwari Ghat to Vishnu Ghat and is known as Lalita Ghat, it is dotted with some of the most famous temples in the world.
Significance:
The ghat houses Lalita Gauri Mandir, Adi Keshava shrine, and The Nepali Temple. The Nepali Mandir is a typical Kathmandu-style temple that houses the image of the deity Pashupatinath, which was recently visited by the Nepalese Prime Minister on his visit to Varanasi.
The ghat is named after Maa Lalita Devi, who is a part of a group of ten goddesses in Santan Dharma called Dasha-Mahavidyas, she is also considered to be the highest form of Maa Adi Shakti.
The Raj Rajeshwari Devi temple on the ghat is an important landmark and the temple is visited by hundreds of devotees on a daily basis, especially by young unmarried women.
After the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the Lalita Ghat will serve as the entry point for the devotees from Ganga Ghat to Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
