Procedure of Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam Path

Preparation

The devotee must take an early morning bath, wear clean attire, and purify the prayer space. Offerings like black sesame, mustard oil, coconut, and incense are arranged. Ideally, this path is performed on Kala Ashtami or Sunday.

Invocation

The ritual begins with Ganesh Puja and Sankalp. The priest then invokes Lord Kaal Bhairav using Beej Mantras and offers black flowers, oil lamp, and akshat, seeking his protection and grace.

Offerings

The deity is offered oil, sindoor, black cloth, mustard seeds, coconuts, incense, and sweets. Chanting of the Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam follows with deep devotion. The rhythmic chanting creates divine energy in the space.

Aarti & Prasad
