Correct manner to Perform Akhand Ramayan Path
To perform the Akhand Ramayan Path, begin by purifying your home and setting up a sacred altar dedicated to Lord Rama. This marks the beginning of a divine journey. Invoking Lord Rama through prayers, one prepares for the continuous recitation of all seven Kands (sections) of the Ramcharitmanas over 24 uninterrupted hours. During the path, it is important that the recitation continues without any breaks, often led by experienced pandits, while devotees maintain the sanctity of the space. Offerings such as flowers, fruits, incense, and a diya (lamp) are placed at the altar to honor Lord Rama and invoke His blessings. The ritual fosters an environment of devotion, peace, and divine presence.
Method of reciting Akhand Ramayan Path
Before starting the recitation of Ramcharitmanas, install the idols of all the gods on a platform facing east.
Be sure to keep basil leaves in the puja.
In front of the idol of Lord Rama, place the Kalash with a heap of rice.
If you are reciting Akhand Ramcharitmanas then place five mango or betel leaves on the mouth of the Kalash and cover it with coconut.
Tie the coconut and the Kalash with a sacred thread. Then make a Swastika symbol and five dots on the Kalash with Kumkum.
Then place betel nut, cloves, cardamom, sugar candy and other offerings on one side of the idol of the Lord. While on the other side place fruits, flowers and offerings.

After the completion of the recitation of Ramcharitmanas, devotees should do the Aarti of the Lord with devotion and perform the hawan after the Aarti.
After the puja, make sure to serve food to the Brahmins and distribute the prasad among everyone.
