Story of the Temple

Mahavir Hanuman Mandir, is one of the most popular Hanuman Temples. The famous Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple is located at one end of Varanasi and the Mahavir Temple at
the other end.
The Shiva Mahapurana mentions Hanuman Ji as the 11th Rudra Avatar of Bhagwan Shiv. Bhagwan Shankar in the avatar of Mahavir Hanuman was there with Bhagwan Shri Ram
assisting and helping him in all his work and endeavors.
Lord Hanuman's strength was considered extraordinary, capable of even lifting the Drona Giri Parvat. He is also known as Vira, Mahavira, and Mahabali for his incapable strength and wisdom.
Both the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and the Mahavir Hanuman Temple belong to Hanuman Ji, who is the chief devotee of Bhagwan Shri Ram.
This Mahavir Temple is located in a very large complex. The vigrah of Mahavir Hanuman is installed in the middle of the temple premises. It is said that the Mahavir temple is very ancient.
The Mahavir HanumanTemple was established by King Arjun by building this temple.

1. According to the belief, worshiping Mahavir Hanuman removes all kinds of suffering and the health of the devotee remains good and full of wealth.

3. It is said that the Mahavir Temple is very ancient. There is also a vigraha of Bhagwan Shankar ji along with Ram-Janaki, Lakshmi Narayan, and Sheetla Mata in this temple premises itself.
4. A huge Peepal tree in the premises covers the entire Mahavir Hanuman temple. Often people make offerings to Mahavir Hanuman Ji on fulfillment of a wish. The big program in this temple takes place on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
5. The Swaroop of Mahavir Hanuman ji is grandly decorated on Hanuman Jayanti. A mixture of vermilion and sesame oil is applied on him for the sewa.
6. Along with this, the Mahavir Hanuman temple is decorated with fragrant flowers. A musical recitation of Shri RamcharitManas is also organized in the Mahavir temple and is continuous.
7. Along with this, Bhandara is also organized in the Mahavir Temple. At the same time, there is always a festive atmosphere in the temple even during Navratri. The Mahavir Hanuman temple is beautifully decorated for this festival. There is an influx of visitors to the temple throughout the Navratri, Shivratri, and Ram Navami.
